Kluang Motor Sport Day 2009

November 13th, 2009

The event was held at Kluang Mall from 7th to 8th Nov 2009.  Never in my life got to see a group of sporty cars showing their stuffs at Kluang.  So it was an opportunity not to be missed.

I was there on the First day around 1400hrs with my kids.  Since it’s about cars, so its guys only.

It was hot but the sound of sporty cars and the smelt of burning tyres kept us waiting for more thrills.

Here are some of the pics.  Enjoy it babe…not everybody could afford these cars!!!

Government Scraps Mandatory Inspection for Vehicles Aged More than 15 Years

November 7th, 2009

The Government finally has agreed to pull back the mandatory comprehensive inspection on vehicles aged 15 years or older.  This certainly is a goodnews for me as well as others 2.7 million car owners on the road with aged above 10 years.

I do not know exactly why the Government wants to have these cars inspected annually at Puspakom before the road tax can be renewed.  If it’s for reason that these old cars are no longer safe on the road, than I would disagreed.  The word safe is subjective when you are on the road.  Safe when you are on the road depends on not only the condition of your car but also the way and attitude of drivers in front and behind you.

Yes, some of these cars are not being maintained like the broken signal, heavy smoke, not working horn that are dangerous to other road users.   But it’s the responsibility of the authority to ensure these cars are not on the road.  They should do more check so that the owners will be more concern about condition of their cars.

Cars are becoming necessity for people in rural and town areas where public transportation is not to the standard.  But cars in Malyasia are expensive. So, if the government decided to scrap these old cars, than they needs to look into reducing the price of national cars as well as import taxes on foreign cars first.

The Government said,  People First, Performance Now!
